I think we all express our creativity in everything we do, although I love nothing more than painting and expressing myself through art. It’s the small everyday moments that make me feel the most creative, like how I style my home or through the clothes I wear. I love making teeny creative choices each and every day.
How does this bring you joy?
In so many ways. Curating everyday moments leaves me with so much inspiration for my own work and I love that. Pouring creativity into designing new products for Up To No Good, whether it’s a new print, mug or card collection, brings me so much joy and is an absolute dream to work on.
Who or what is your creative inspiration?
Honestly, my favourite place to go to when looking for inspiration is usually a car boot sale or antiques fair. I love nothing more than finding unique, timeless pieces that can pull on a creative string to get some inspiration going.
How did you start your creative journey?
I’ve always had more of an interest in anything creative, but I think university, where I studied fine art, is where I truly learnt to explore my creativity. I loved every minute of it and knew that I wanted to build a career that allowed me to express myself. I feel very lucky to do so every single day.
What advice would you give someone embarking on a journey of creative self expression?
Have fun, concentrate on what you love and not on what others are doing, and enjoy the small moments of pure joy when everything just makes sense.
