Expressions Of Mikaela Lyons
The items were created using ancient jewellery-making methods and traditional fire soldering in Mikaela’s Birmingham workshop. Focusing on the principles of the 'slow fashion movement', Mikaela draws inspiration from old coins and classic jewellery symbols, which she reimagines with a modern twist.
To celebrate the launch, we visited Mikaela in her studio to explore behind the design process and discover the inspirations behind the new collection.
The collection
The exclusive collection features Mikaela’s signature Lioness with floral mane, symbolic of her maiden name, Lyons. Lioness is a talisman for strength, equality, beauty and identity. Mikaela’s best-selling Floral Heart is also included, as well as a checkerboard T-Bar, sitting on a twisted curb chain with a checkerboard floral and stripe design on all sides of the bar.
Designed with layering in mind, all the chain lengths in the collection are adjustable so that the pieces can flow together to create a cascading neckline or curated bracelet stack. Then there’s the velvet ribbon heart charm bracelet, which stands out all on its own.
