How do you express your creativity? It is super-important for me to have an outlet and I am really lucky to have quite a few - from crafting with my daughter to cooking and evolving a recipe, to making a table for friends or family to come over and eat, to styling a fashion shoot, to doing shoots and content-creating for my ceramic brand Hot Pottery. How does this bring you joy?I love being able to see something come together in front of my eyes. To start with an idea, think about it, evolve it and in the end have a plate of food, an image in a magazine, a video on Instagram, or a smile on someone's face when they are eating at a beautiful table. Who or what is your creative inspiration?I think colour is incredibly important to me. In whatever I'm doing - fashion, tablescaping, cooking or dressing myself, I like to push boundaries and team colours together that wouldn't be your natural go-to. I just love colour! I don't own a white plate, I only own three items of black clothing and food is always colourful in our house. How did you start your creative journey? At school I found English and academic subjects really tricky. I am dyslexic and I really struggled. But the art subjects I thrived at. I did textiles and had an amazing teacher who really pushed me into fashion and to go to London School of Fashion. As a 12-year-old I painted my own room, which involved quite a niche but extravagant wall. I was always obsessed with clothes and I could cook a roast at 11 (my dad was and still is a really keen cook), so I guess it has always been there. What advice would you give someone embarking on a journey of creative self expression?Let there be no boundaries - creativity is creativity. Let it lead you wherever it might take you. Don't shut any doors because you feel it's taking you in a wrong direction, and be authentic and trust your taste. It might not be everybody's, but it's yours and the world would be very boring if we all liked the same thing.
