Kate Butler

Kate joined the OB Home & Gift Team in 2021 and manages a team of eight designers across print and product design. The majority of our homeware is designed in our in-house studios and it is a fast-paced and creative environment full of energy, innovation and imagination. We also have strong and long-standing relationships with our supply base, who are expert in bringing our designs to life.

Design is at the heart of the brand, so Kate’s process every new season always begins with setting the design direction for upcoming homeware collections. She works closely with Olly and the buying, merchandising and quality assurance teams to bring the product through the journey and make it ready for the customer.

Inspiration for new product designs comes from everywhere, and Kate will often generate ideas while outside walking or when travelling with the team on ideas trips. She enjoys keeping up with new trends just as much as working on ways to reimagine vintage shapes and classic designs in OB’s signature style.
