Description

This statement gluggle jug is a traditional design, shaped in the style of a koi fish with a mouth-shaped pourer. Named for the 'glug glug' sound it makes when liquid is poured out, this duck egg blue jug can be used as a statement table piece for hosting, a decorative vase in your hallway or living room, or as a playful ornament and utensil pot. Engraved with scales, fins and face details, this piece has a handle formed from its curved tail, and a base for it to stand on.

Makes for a fun conversational piece on the Christmas dinner table or when hosting friends and family.

Gluggle Jug FAQs

Gluggle jugs are named after the 'gluggle' sound that they make when poured. The original fish-shaped vase was made in Staffordshire over a hundred years ago, and now comes in plenty of colours and sizes. Use as a jug, vase, decanter or utensil holder.

Gluggle jugs make a distinctive 'glug glug' noise when pouring. This happens when the jug is filled up and air gets trapped in the fish's tail. When it escapes, the jug 'glugs' repeatedly.

It looks great. Good quality. The gluggle itself isn’t as impressive as I’d have expected, but then again, how many times realistically will I expect a perfect glug! It does the job.
