4 Christmas day looks from our Fashion Stylist

Looking ahead to your Christmas day outfit? So are we. Whether you want to stay cosy in pyjamas while you open your stocking, wrap up for your post-roast walk or get dressed up for dinner and drinks, find some style inspiration from our Christmas outfits edit. Here, our Fashion Stylist Lynda Bell has put together four of her favourite Christmas day outfit ideas for the season and beyond.

1. WHAT TO WEAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY

...for lounging

The excitement of Christmas morning remains unmatched, so if you're rising early, make sure comfort is your top priority. Begin the day with a hot beverage in a marbled cafetiere, before slipping into plush slippers after a relaxing salt-infused bath (if your schedule allows). Mix botanical prints with a pair of pink pyjamas and matching earrings for a cosy stocking session. To finish off the look, tie your hair up with a matching hair accessory - you’ve got presents to open.

2. WHAT TO WEAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY

...for lunch

Eschew the traditional Christmas jumper in favour of printed geometrics and knitted brights. Add a touch of glamour to your outfit with a statement necklace, paired with metallic heels and celestial-themed hair clips. An irresistibly festive nail kit will help tie your look together with shiny gold highlights.

3. WHAT TO WEAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY

...on a walk

Heading outside for a Christmas Day walk? Layering is key to keeping the winter chill at bay. Pair sparkly socks and tights with a knitted jumper dress, before adding a thick scarf and fluffy coat. To finish? Chunky boots, a metallic mini bag and some colourful earrings to wrap it up.

4. WHAT TO WEAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY

...for dinner and drinks

For a late Christmas Day dinner or evening drinks, come dressed to impress with decadent metallics and opulent jewellery. Pair a party-ready mini dress with gold and silver accessories, and team eye-catching earrings in statement silhouettes with a plush velvet hair tie.
