Gluggle Jug FAQs

Gluggle jugs are named after the 'gluggle' sound that they make when poured. The original fish-shaped vase was made in Staffordshire over a hundred years ago, and now comes in plenty of colours and sizes. Use as a jug, vase, decanter or utensil holder.

Gluggle jugs make a distinctive 'glug glug' noise when pouring. This happens when the jug is filled up and air gets trapped in the fish's tail. When it escapes, the jug 'glugs' repeatedly.

This wee gluggle jug is so pretty! Holds just enough milk for serving with a cuppa - as long as it's only tea for two. When not in use for milk, it's a lovely bud-vase or a sweet display piece.
