Oh, I love these saucers! Had been watching Nigella Christmas episodes to get ideas for the Christmas dinner (and because it is warm and cosy and that is what dark days require) and she used a gorgeous gold star-etched champagne coupe and my heart was stolen. I googled vague descriptions of what I was after and lo! the perfect coupe appeared on OB website at a price that was comparable to other websites, but that promised better quality than many of the cheaper ones. I had a first-time user discount as well, so that was some money off, which made it even better. The coupes are just beautiful - gold rimmed with a sort of ombre effect on the stem to the base. The glass is a good thickness, too; it doesn't feel cheap and flimsy, but isn't too thick and unpleasant either. The wee stars etched on them are really sweet and feel wonderfully 50s kitsch. I bought two sets, intending to put both pairs away until Christmas, but had to keep a pair out, because they are so gorgeous and bring a wee sparkle to anything you drink.
