Caring for metal furniture

Metal furniture is hardwearing and built to last. To help maintain the beauty and performance of your piece of furniture, follow these guidelines:

Looking after metal furniture

Do not use abrasive cleaners on your metal furniture as it may scratch the surface.

Wipe stains or marks with a damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth to avoid water marks.

Any spills should be removed immediately. Never let them dry out on the surface as they may leave a stain.

Always use a coaster or placemat to protect the surface.

Take care when moving your furniture around your house. Do not drag the furniture as it can cause damage to the joints.

Sitting or standing on the furniture is not advisable.

Your metal furniture is not suitable for outdoor use.

Outdoor metal products

If you use metal products outside, it’s natural for them to tarnish slightly in reaction to moisture and exposure to the air. This chemical reaction, also known as oxidation, causes the outer layer of the metal to corrode and discolour. To keep your metal products in good condition, clean the surface regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth to buff away any dust and dirt.
