Candle and diffuser care
All our candles come with use and care instructions - these can be found on the sticker on the base of the candle. Not only do these outline safety instructions, but they also include usage instructions to optimise your candle’s fragrance diffusion and burn performance.
How to look after your Oliver Bonas candle
• Burn your candle for at least two hours and no more than four hours at a time.
• Keep wicks trimmed to 5mm.
• Keep the wax pool clear of matches and debris to avoid flaring.
• If the flame becomes bigger, flickering and smoking more than usual, make sure to extinguish the flame immediately.
• Keep your candle away from flammable materials and draughts. Keeping your candle away from draughts will help to avoid sooting or uneven burning.
• Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface.
• Stop burning your candle when there is 10mm of wax left to help to prevent the vessel from overheating.
• Make sure you keep your candle out of reach of children and pets, and never leave a candle unattended.
