Gifts for newlyweds who have (almost) everything

Finding the perfect wedding gift can be hard, but finding the perfect gift for couples who seem to have everything can be even harder. And, with many weddings postponed or downsized this year, you’ll need to choose a gift that makes them feel really loved. To help you in your search, we’ve curated this edit of thoughtful presents they can enjoy together, with gift ideas to suit a range of budgets too, from smaller gestures to statement splurges and everything in between. Because they might have everything, but they (probably) don’t have these...

1. Cheese board and knives

Inlaid with brass details and etched with tropical palms, these wooden boards and matching knives will elevate their after-dinner wine and cheese, whether they’re enjoying a quiet night together at home or hosting a post-wedding dinner party for their friends and family.

2. A set of glasses

Whether they’re wine drinkers, beer lovers or cocktail connoisseurs, they’ll treasure every time they enjoy their favourite tipple in a glassware set they were given for their wedding. Choose from sets of two glasses for the loved-up pair, or four glasses for people who love to entertain.

3. A jewellery box

Give them a velvet-lined jewellery box to display on their dressing table to keep their wedding jewellery and other treasured pieces safe and protected. Make sure you choose a box with a separate ring compartment to hold their wedding or engagement rings when they’re not being worn.

4. A photo frame

Personalise their present by filling a photo frame with mementos to remind them of their wedding day. Use a multi frame and add all sorts of treasures, from candid photos you took on the dancefloor, a flower from the groom’s buttonhole, to table numbers, wedding invites and more.

5. A picnic basket

Whether they enjoy picnicking in their local park on weekends, or they’re heading off for a post-wedding staycation, this bright wicker basket is filled with everything they need for a romantic picnic for two. All they need to add is some delicious food and a bottle (or three).

6. A throw

Give them a gift they can cosy up under. This throw comes with eco credentials too - it’s made from recycled cotton and polyester, woven in a chevron pattern that will instantly brighten their bedroom or sofa and add a soft touch to movie nights or weekend breakfast in bed.

7. A vase

With weddings comes bouquet upon bouquet of flowers, from the bride’s and bridesmaids’ posies to venue decorations and even celebratory gifts. Give them a statement vase so they can take the blooms with them after their wedding, and fill their home with reminders of their special day.

8. A travel book

If they’ve had to put their honeymoon plans on hold this year, then an inspiring travel book for their coffee table will tide them over until they’re able to depart. Travel experts Lonely Planet publish holiday books for many different interests, from activity based trips to more relaxing ones too.

9. Wall art

Celebrate their love in spades with framed art to decorate their walls. Find a piece that matches their home and personalities perfectly, from graphic patterns and inspirational quotes to more subtle designs, all framed and ready to be hung in their home as soon as they unwrap it.

10. Initial coasters

Add a personal finishing touch to their wedding present with beaded coasters monogrammed with their initials. Wherever they place them in their home - office, bedside table or living room - they’ll be reminded of their wedding day every time they have a cuppa.
