Denim for days: Three ways to style denim this season

If there’s one fashion staple to invest in season after season, it’s denim. These latest must-have styles for SS23 make it easy to transition your wardrobe from summer to autumn, mixing dark washes with trend-led cuts and fits. Want to dive into the blue jean waters? Here are three ways to put denim at the centre of your look this season.

1. Take a top-to-toe approach

Forget double denim, a jumpsuit is your new all-denim outfit hero to live in. ‘Fitted through the body and hips and cropped in the leg, our new jumpsuit is sophisticated and ready to be your go-to, season after season,’ states Fashion Stylist, Lynda Bell. This boilersuit style can be dressed up with heels and boots or kept casual with trainers. Either way, we love this piece paired with gold jewellery and a crossbody bag.

2. Play with utility shapes

For a fresh denim update, go for loose, easy jeans that exude an effortless vibe - this new style is predicted to dominate this autumn. ‘From cargo pockets to carpenter details and wide leg cuts, this denim trend is all over the runways,’ says Lynda, ‘combining the perfect blend of function and style.’ Stripes, heels, and a chunky chain necklace nail this relaxed look, plus the saddle bag gets major style points.

3. Another hue to blue

Whilst denim skirts are gaining on the favourite jean bottoms, it’s our new colours on offer that are exciting this month. ‘If you’re not feeling blue, then maybe it’s a pink jeans day, or continue the utility trend with a khaki midi skirt,’ recommends Lynda. Dress for the weekend and pair with a pop of unexpected colour – our new bomber is the lightweight knit you need should the weather take a turn.
