Introducing OB x Superga
Designed in collaboration with iconic shoe brand Superga, meet our exclusive Embroidered Flower Trainers. They pair vintage-inspired embroidery designed in the OB Studio with Superga’s classic white canvas high tops, to add a fresh floral accent to our collection for SS21. Here, our Head of Fashion Design, Ann, shares the inspiration behind this spring style.
The inspiration
“The concept came from SS21’s customisation trend,” says Ann. ““We were inspired by brands that rework vintage pieces, and we loved the idea of embellishing much-loved canvas trainers to make them treasured and unique.”
The design
The high tops feature a colourful daisy chain embroidered on each ankle, which was “first developed by hand by our textile designer, with gardening, flower growing, vintage handkerchiefs and table linens serving as inspiration for the motif,” says Ann.
How to style them
Ann says, “high tops worn with dresses is a key look for the season, creating a relaxed yet practical mood.” Pair with this season’s daywear, including patterned midi dresses, compact crossbody bags, and sunshine-ready sunglasses.
