They are less reeded than they look although you can feel the glass. The gold leaf is rough to the touch, has been covered in a resin which just makes it feel a bit cheap. Not all of the gold is at similar heights so if you buy eight like we did you get quite a bit of variation. You can really tell they have the gold on them once they've been poured. They're okay for occasional use or tablescaping but they won't be used for 'best'
